Tomorrow we will celebrate Father’s Day with picnics, gifts and cards with heartfelt sentiments for our Dad’s and those who have been Dad’s to us. In our society it seems to be that one day it’s ok to honor our Dad’s. When truthfully most Dad’s should be honored every day as they go out to work to support their families and love and care for them in so many other ways.
But for all the ways Dad’s will hear words of love and adoration, we can’t forget that our Dad’s need to be reminded how much our Abba loves them also. When I read today’s verse I couldn’t help but think how much Dad’s need to know how much they are loved and cared for by our Heavenly Father. Being a Dad is not easy, they carry a lot of responsibility and having Abba God as our example who walks along side them encourages, uplifts and strengthens them is one of the greatest Father’s Day gifts they could ever receive.
So let your Dad’s know how much you love and care about them tomorrow. But don’t forget to remind them how much they are loved by Abba and that you pray for strength and guidance for them every day. And they will be truly blessed, uplifted and encouraged to become the son and Dad God created them to be.
