“I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters.
I will praise you among your assembled people. Hebrews 2:12
Beginning to praise the Lord a few days before Sunday worship is so simple yet the results are powerful. Praising the Lord affects us in so many different ways. We focus more on the Lord and as the old hymn says the things of this earth grow strangely dim. So as we get away from the things that cause stress, anxiety and distractions we enter a place of rest not only for our bodies but our souls and spirits.
When we begin to rest in Jesus, we become more open to hear Him when He wants to commune and fellowship with us. Once we begin hearing Him, we begin to realize He is imparting His wisdom and answers to life’s questions that we seem to keep seeking to find.
When Sunday finally comes, we are ready to not only praise and worship Him, but enjoy it more and as we sing and praise with other Believers we find ourselves open to receive the Word more clearly. And our fellowship deepens with both God and people. We are prepared for the week ahead as He opens up opportunities for us to share Him with others outside the church walls. How good is our God! Imagine what He can do to us, in us and through us when we become more intentional. Nothing will be impossible for those wait upon the Lord.
