The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.. Rom 8:11
Yesterday we celebrated Resurrection Day because our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ is alive and sitting at the right hand of our Father. In order to have a resurrection means someone or something had to die. Jesus was the sacrifice that became sin and die so He could pay for the remission (forgiveness from and dominion over sin) of our sins past, present and future.
But those who have received Him and His sacrifice now also have His Holy Spirit living inside of us. That means we now we can live as He lived while on this earth, with kingdom authority and power over the enemy and all that is at work trying to destroy us. Because He lives within us we can truly face tomorrow no matter what it holds.
How often though do we forget that truth, so we handed out a paper yesterday with a picture of Jesus walking and the words Our hope is alive, because Jesus lives and I can. . ., and with Jesus there is no limit or impossibility! I encourage you to write that at the top of a paper and then begin to write what you can now do because Jesus lives. Is it overcoming fear or depression, anxiety or worry, an addiction or bad habit. Do you need to tear down an idol or step out into the unknown? Do you need healing in any area of your life or some form of provision?
Whatever it is, you can because He lives and lives inside of you! Don’t spend one more day trying to live this life under your own humanness and power. Let His Holy Spirit fill you to the full and running over and watch your spirit and soul truly live!
