This is because God considers the wisdom of this world to be foolish. It is just as the Scriptures say, “God catches the wise when they try to outsmart him.” I Corinthians 3:19 CEV
Most of us make reference to the movie Groundhog Day when it seems we keep reliving the same thing over and over. I”m thinking there should be a movie called April Fool’s Day, since April Fool’s Day was created to bring havoc, deception and confusion out of the truth. Every day we hear things that contradict the day before, the numbers keep changing. We wonder is this fact of just projection and if it’s projection, how do they know. We hear they are just models, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to play out that way. Just like the insanity of April Fool’s Day, even the experts don’t know.
So what do we know, well we know this virus is contagious and the best way to stop it’s spreading is to stay away from one another as much as possible. That’s not scientific, that’s common sense. A mindset against spreading disease as old as disease itself! The Bible from Genesis to Revelation tells us about people who suffered from various diseases were separated from the healthy. We do know as with any disease, it runs a course, but doesn’t last forever. We know with all our knowledge and information we are still limited even when we do our very best. And we do know One, who is here right in the middle of all this craziness, His Name is Jesus. He’s the Light in our darkness, the Peace in our confusion and the Hope in our hopelessness.
Instead of looking around and looking within for help and answers, why don’t we try looking up our Shield, Glory and the Lifter of our heads! He is a Strong Tower and those who are His can run into Him for refuge. The joke is on the enemy this April Fool’s Day, in the words of Isaiah, No weapon that’s formed against us will succeed!
