I realize this isn’t your usual Mother’s Day Scripture passage, but perhaps it should be. As I was looking for a “Mother’s Day” verse to put on the handmade cards for our Friday Night Kids group, I came upon this familiar blessing. As I read through the different translations, I settled on the Living Bible.
Who deserves this blessing more than a Mom or someone who might not be a mother biological, but has the spirit of a Mom. If you are a Mom, read it slowly our loud over yourself replacing you with “me”. If you’re reading this and you know a Mom or someone with a spirit of a Mom call them and read it to them. It may be simple but like all God given blessings, powerful and will remain in the heart and mind of the one who receives it.
