He is ever present with me;
at all times He goes before me.
I will not live in fear or abandon my calling
because He stands at my right hand. This is a good life—my heart is glad, my soul is full of joy, and my body is at rest. Who could want for more? Psalm 16:8-9
On a sign outside a church: Sunday’s Sermon, Do You Know What Hell Is? Come Hear Our Pastor. Come on, you know you’re at least smiling. I believe it’s time to start laughing, having fun and enjoying life again, inspite of everything that is going on. And that means especially Believers. After all our hope, joy and happiness isn’t found in what’s going on around us, it’s in our relationship with the Lord! And we need to show the world that we can still enjoy life even when it seems there is nothing to be joyful about.
Re-read today’s verse and truly consider what it says. We are never alone, God is always walking with us. We don’t have to fear anything or give up, because He is by our right hand. Because of that, we know God is good, our hearts can be glad and full of joy and best of all our bodies can be at rest! If we don’t believe and live what we just read, tell me, what hope does this dark world have?
Today, think of as many jokes as you can, laugh while you think of them, share them with someone and laugh again and again. And tonight as you lay down to go to sleep laughing. In the morning you’ll awake with a smile and begin the day with a thankful heart. You’ll find no matter what happens the rest of the day, you’ll go through it knowing that you are truly blessed.
A Sunday School class was asked to answer, “What Easter Means to Me.” Although most answers were sweet and thoughtful one little girl’s answer was memorable; We’ll have egg salad sandwiches for the entire week! Enjoy your day!
