But he answered me, “My grace is always more than enough for you,[a] and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.” So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
We don’t like to admit it, but we all have weaknesses. We try to ignore them, we make excuses for them. The only way though that Satan can take advantage of them, is if we don’t admit them and give them over to God. Our humaness tells us that admitting a weakness is a weakness in iteslf, but that thought is a deception of Satan. He just loves to use our weaknesses to control us and keep us bound.
Paul gave us words of encouragement when he shared his personal experience that God told him that his weakness could actually show God’s power working within him. We need to remember that admitting we have weaknesses is actually a strength, because through acknowledging them, God can help us overcome the hold they have on us. Romans 8:26 reminds us that the Spirit helps us in our weaknesses.
Take an evaluation, ask Holy Spirit to help you see your weaknesses. Turn it over to God and ask Him to strengthen you in that area. Before you know it, you’ll be like Paul celebrating in your weaknesses and watching God’s power transform your life.
