I am your only God, the living God.
Wasn’t I the one who broke the strongholds over you
and raised you up out of bondage?
Open your mouth with a mighty decree;
I will fulfill it now, you’ll see!
The words that you speak, so shall it be!
Psalm 81:10
Yesterday we revealed our ministry Theme for 2020: Declaring the Word of the Lord! In spite of how it might sound, we’re not out to get “things”, our focus is on getting to know God better through reading, praying, studying and declaring His Word over ourselves and all those around us. Words have power, especially the God breathed Words we find in the Bible. When we believe them, learn them, recieve them and apply them to our lives we begin to see God reveal Himself in amazing ways.
See, we too often froget the Truth of John 1:1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. Then it goes on to tell us that The Word became flesh and lived among us in the Person of Jesus. Oh, how He longs to have a relationship with us, that He sent His beloved Son to die on the cursed cross in our place so we could be reconciled back to Him! Almost every home in the US has a Bible, we can even get them at the Dollar Store and yet we really don’t know who He is and how He moves in this world. And because of this, we either don’t declare His Word, or when we do, we don’t truly understand what we’re declaring.
When we seek to know Him better, believe in Him through His Word and begin to declare it, we become enabled to walk in His favor and grace like never before (Joshua 1:8); our heart minds and perceptions are transformed (Prov 12:25); and we grow deeper in our realtionship and lead others to Jesus (Ps. 40:3). Yes there is life altering power in the Word of God and He invites you to walk and talk with Him.
We hope you will join us this year as we dig deeper into the Scriptures and not only see, but get to know God as He truly is. The Word of God is transformational so no matter where you are in live today be assured He will make a difference in your life when you give Him the opportunity. As we learn, if we are already in a relationship with Him will grow deeper and more treausred. And if you’re not, we pray you will see how much He loves you and you will want to be in a relationship with Him too and live the abundant life Jesus said we can have in John 10:10!
